About Us

We are a small-batch, craft brewing company in Stillwater, Minnesota, brewing 10 barrels at a time. We strive to create Old World beers using New World techniques, utilizing waste minimizing brewing equipment and state of the art, one-way kegs which are made of 100% recyclable material. Our brewery is in Historic Downtown Stillwater in one of the oldest buildings in the area, the Isaac Staples Sawmill. We have worked to preserve the aesthetic of the Sawmill building within our brewery and proudly display the Sawmill in our logo.

About the Staff

Justin Stanley, aka Brad Bader, Head of Sales and Distribution: Justin moved to Minnesota from Florida where he was the Executive Director for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services for Northwest Florida. Born and raised in West Virginia, he enjoys bluegrass music, college football and moonshine. Justin grew up within a mile of Zack, and the two have been getting each other in trouble since around 5 years old.

Zachary Morgan, aka Zmo, Chief Brewer: Zack, also a West Virginia boy, moved to Minnesota in 2005 when he met his wife, Anne, who is a MN native. He has worked for the Cathedral of Saint Paul since moving to Minnesota, but loves beer and wine culture. He also loves bluegrass, as well as enthusiastically pouring water off balconies on people in Pamplona.

Anne Morgan, aka The Straw Boss: Anne was born in North Saint Paul, Minnesota and works as an oncology nurse in addition to keeping books for the brewery. She is solely responsible for maintaining productivity by keeping the boys on task. Our seasonal beer “Annie's Honey Bier” is named after her and you can see her likeness on many tap handles and pint glasses.

Billy Shaver, aka Official Ambassador: Billy is our Official Ambassador and attends events, tastings and special tappings to help provide information about our brewery and beers. He may also be found pouring free pints for visitors or sleeping on the “crash couch” in the back of the brewery.
